A Virginia native, I attended James Madison University and received my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Auburn University. I am currently studying to become an Equine-Assisted Mental Health Practitioner. Prior to joining the Relationship Center, I had extensive training providing counseling services to children, adolescents and adults on a hospital psychiatric unit as well as counseling individuals in college counseling centers, non-profit organizations and now, private practice.
Specializing in treating individual’s with trauma-related, mood, and personality disorders, I am highly skilled in working with adolescents and young adults experiencing anxiety and depression. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Compassion-Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy as my primary treatment modalities. Dedicated to educating clients to be informed-consumers of the treatment they receive, I provide medication management and collaboration with physicians to ensure clients receive the best care possible.
I offer flexible office hours and can meet evenings and weekends as well as discounts to college students.
